Weight limits for our horses
The well-being of the horses is our first priority, without them we cannot run our business. In order to give the horses a reasonable workload and prevent back pain and other injuries in our horses, we therefore have a weight limit for riders of a maximum of 90 kg. We ask that all students respect this limit and understand that we must put the best interests of the horses first. Talk to your instructor if you have questions or concerns about this.
A younger/older horse or a horse with poor balance/condition cannot carry as much as an adult horse with good balance and who is well muscled. It should also be taken into account that a horse can bear more weight in low-active work than in high-active work and that a well-balanced heavier rider is easier for the horse to balance up than a slightly lighter rider with poor balance.
